The glitzy dinner event will reward the fighters, coaches, gyms and support staff who have helped the sport in Ireland grow at such an incredible rate over the past couple of years. Amongst the awards to be handed down on the night will be male and female student of the year, best ProKick satellite gym, up-n-coming fighter, instructor of the year along with a host of other special achievement gongs to be won.
“This awards ceremony will pay tribute to the people across the island that have made Kickboxing such a powerhouse sport,” said Billy Murray, the man behind the event. “This will also mark 18 years of ProKick and close to 30 years of kickboxing in Northern Ireland which we will honour at a single ceremony. It’s exciting and it’s going to be another momentous occasion.”
Following the handing down of gongs celebrating the best in kickboxing talent nationwide, the three men – all yet to be named – will take to the ring in a series of exciting bouts. “Every year after the awards and dinner we show some of our brightest talent in action,” said ProKick founder Billy Murray.
“Those lucky enough to get a ticket for the ceremony are in for a treat. There is some unfinished business in the world of kickboxing and we hope we can resolve this as we hope to have world champion Gary Hamilton and Marty Cox Jnr on the card in what is now the most anticipated and talked about match-up from 2008 and it truly is - ‘Unfinished Business’ as a freak accident ruled out Cox Jnr just minutes before he was to meet Hamilton at the KICKmas event on Dec 1"
Two other bright hopes from the world of Northern Irish kickboxing will also appear on the menu.
Purchase your ticket at £50 – tickets are limited. Tickets can be acquired on-line at the Prokick Shop

Hi Mark,
The Bash n Mash isn’t a massive event - yet.
We only concentrate on selling it through the gym for our members, it is more of a private thing.
The advert on the back of the buses is probably an old advert for KICKmas as there are a few of them kicking around.
But that is good, a bit of free advertisement does nobody any harm.
Keep the great work up.
Roll on Friday

Hi All - I ordered my tickets for the bash and Mash cant wait to see wee Mark Bird again, he’s a wee star - I loved the way he hung in there when he was in trouble at kickmas and this time you are using the knee GREAT…can he use it anyone? MArk drop us a line and lets hear from you about this one.
Is Stuart Jess matched yet, I love his style too rough and always ready value for money, The heavyweight dont know what he is like?? And then there’s Gary hamilton always a crowd pleaser ..... who would want to pay £250 for the UFC will I did in Belfast and london plus flights hotel, sorry but I’d rather watch it now on TV.
Thats enough about them cant wait for March 6 and we get a chance to get cleaned up and have dinner…..BRING IT ON!!!
