One of Northern Ireland's brightest young kickboxing hopes won his first bout in Galway at the weekend. And though 13 year-old David Bird is a very inexperienced novice he had one of the most formidable pair of corner-men in the business who helped him get his first points win. As the first bell rang on the fight, world champion Gary Hamilton and European king Ian Young provided the young Lisburn teenager with advice and assistance, and it worked.
