MARK BIRD said he feels confident after he weighed-in ahead of his bout tomorrow night (Saturday 3rd May) on the beautiful island of Corsica. " I'm so on form, Ive had two good wins in the last month and I am still on a high after last weekend training with K1 legend Ernesto Hoost. That will hopefully give me the boost I need to lift the Corsican Cup."

Both teenagers, Bird and Salvador will battle it out for the Corsican Cup over four rounds in the light-welterweight division. The popular Lisburn fighter Bird, tipped the scales at 65kg with Dylan Salvador coming in a kilo lighter at 64kg. The match is under the Thai style rules of low leg kicks - a style that seems to suit Mark, said coach Murray. “
